--Iran tells Russian official it opposes war
President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi stressed that opposition to war is Iran’s principled policy.
Raisi made the remark in a Wednesday meeting with visiting Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev in Tehran, stressing that the expansion of the range and the escalation of wars are common concerns of all countries, IRNA reported.
--Nouri in solitary confinement three years after illegal arrest in Sweden
Three years have elapsed since Sweden’s illegal arrest of Iranian national Hamid Nouri on November 9, 2019 and all along, he has been kept in solitary confinement and under completely inhumane circumstances, announced the media center of Iran’s Judiciary.
In a statement, the media center added despite all the follow-ups on the issue and received promises, the illegally-imposed restrictions against Nouri are still in place.
--Iran-France eight-month trade up 53%
The trade between Iran and France reach €235.4 million in the first eight months of 2022, registering 53 percent of rise compared to corresponding figure for preceding year.
According to the data released by the European Union's statistics office Eurostat, during the said eight months, Iran’s imports from the country marked a 58-percent rise to hit €225 million.

--Iran, Russia Deepening Trade, Security Ties
A leading ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin met Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi on Wednesday on a trip to deepen trade and security cooperation, as Moscow looks to shore up its economy and bolster its war effort in Ukraine.
Russian Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev’s visit was a sign of Iran’s growing importance at a time when Moscow is isolated by Western sanctions and faces intense Ukrainian military pressure.

--Iran Judokas Win Gold Medals in IBSA World Championship
Iranian Judokas Meysam Banitaba and Vahid Jeddi have defeated their rivals and grasped the gold medals on the first day of the competitions in Baku, Azerbaijan Republic.
Banitaba at 60 kg overcame rivals from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela to reach the final, and after defeating his Turkish contender won the gold medal.

--Iran, Armenia stress reaching $3b bilateral trade
During a meeting between Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ehsan Khandouzi and Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan in Tehran on Tuesday evening, the two sides stressed materializing the objective of reaching $3 billion annual trade between the two countries.
The two ministers also emphasized the need to increase the volume of bilateral trade to five million tons, as well as expand and facilitate financial, banking, trade, and customs ties between the two sides.
